This is a Jizo statue with a lovely frog riding on its head.
The frog on its head is a plump, round Japanese tree frog, considered a symbol of good luck in Japan since ancient times.
"Kaeru" (frog) sounds like "kaeru" (to return), signifying a safe return, and also "kaeru" (to exchange or get money back), and "fuku kaeru" (bringing good fortune).
Frogs also symbolize career advancement, as they tend to jump forward.
This frog is peacefully sleeping, gently perched on the Jizo's head. Crafted with love and sincerity.
