Long Necklace with Naga Antique Beads, Gold-Red White Hearts, and Old Orissa Brass with a Shell Bead Clasp

This is a long necklace crafted by connecting antique beads from India, gold-red white hearts, and old Orissa brass. The beads, in shades of sapphire blue and lapis lazuli, some with stripes and some green, are antique Venetian beads that found their way to the Naga tribe of India. These beads have been worn as personal adornments, such as necklaces, for many years. The gentle wear on the beads is utterly charming! You can enjoy their varied expressions, from the small air bubbles creating holes to beads worn at an angle. (Bead size: 3-4.5mm) The deep pink beads are antique beads known as White Hearts, named for their white core. These are Venetian beads from around the 19th to 20th century. This particular piece features beads colored red with gold, making them rare "gold-red white hearts." The golden beads are old Orissa brass, ancient and rare beads originating from the state of Orissa in India. The chain and charm near the clasp are old items from Afghanistan. The clasp of this necklace has been fashioned from a shell that was traditionally used for the clasps of ancient tribal necklaces.
