Sakura: The moment you shave it, you can smell a sweet aroma. Over time, it turns a beautiful amber color.

Chestnut - The grain is clear and it looks the most "wood-like."
Maple: A whitish, matte texture with inconspicuous grain. A hard wood.
Walnut - Reddish brown. Japanese walnut tree.
Hoh - Greenish gray. A large-leaved tree used for hohba sushi.

The fact that it has a strong core gives it the meaning of "sticking to one's will."
