This piece is an iridescent “shabon” glass tumbler whose entire surface is sandblasted with a maple-leaf motif. The glass has a distinctive soft luster, and the white areas are frosted; because there is no applied paint, the color of your beverage shows gently through the carving, giving each pour a different mood. Two colorways are available—red-amber and amber-green—each evoking the warmth of autumn. When filled, the maple leaves seem to sway in the liquid, adding a quiet, seasonal elegance.
