This is a double-strand bracelet strung with an endless knot, ancient agate, Mizoram carnelian, old Tibetan turquoise, blood-red White Heart beads, and jet black beads.
The endless knot is a motif from Tibetan Buddhism, symbolizing eternal connection.
The wear and tear on the metal is stylish and has an antique patina. While not excessively old, it has a slightly worn appearance that gives it a wonderful atmosphere. The intricate design features openwork, and being hollow inside, it is not heavy.
This is a deadstock item that arrived from Tibet!
(Endless knot size: 1.1cm wide, 0.9cm high)
The beads with beautiful stripes are ancient agate from Afghanistan, dating back over 1200 years.
The stripes of grey, ivory, and black are truly beautiful and possess a rich character!
(Ancient agate size: 0.65cm wide, 0.8cm diameter)
The orange beads are Mizoram carnelian, heirlooms from around the 18th century from Mizoram state in eastern India.
Their deep, ripe-fruit orange color is captivating!
Although there are some scratches, they add to the bead's profound character.
(Mizoram carnelian size: 0.5cm wide, 0.55cm diameter)
The old Tibetan turquoise is from approximately 100 to 200 years ago (perhaps older). It was acquired from a collector who sourced it in Tibet. Turquoise is also known as a "Fallen Skystone" and has been used as an amulet and sacred stone in various cultures since ancient times. In Tibet, it is used as a protective charm and sometimes even medicinally. It is one of the stones passed down and worn for millennia.
This is natural turquoise, without any coating. The small, slim turquoise beads are charming with their mellow green hue.
(Turquoise size: 1cm wide, 0.6cm high, 0.3cm thick)
The red beads are antique beads called White Hearts, named for their white core. These are Venetian beads from around the 19th-20th century. The deep red color is referred to as "blood-red."
The jet black beads are also antique Venetian beads (19th-20th century). Each bead varies slightly in shape and size, adding to their unique character.
The small golden beads and the charm next to the ancient agate are old Orissa brass from Orissa state, India, rare and old beads.
The round charm near the clasp is also old brass from India.
The very small silver beads between the main beads, the bead shaped like a bun, and the clasp are Karen silver.
