Blue Willow是早期英國瓷器業嘗試模仿、再現中國進口青花瓷的創作，是歐陸文化與東方風情的交匯。
從 Thomas Minton於1780年打造出這套花色開始，幾乎每家英國瓷器廠都曾推出 Blue Willow 相關產品，
各個品牌的 Blue Willow 或許有些細節差異，但重要元素大致相同，還有人把畫面上的重點寫成一首小詩：
Two little birds are flying high
A little vessel sailing by
A weeping willow hanging o’ver
A bridge with three men, if not four
A Chinese castle, there it stands
‘Twas if it were lord of all the lands
