A goldfish exhibition was being held in a corner of an amusement park.
The species I fell in love with at first sight was the Sakura Nishiki Ryukin.
Apparently, they don't have dorsal fins to begin with, and that's one of the reasons why
I made this because I thought its round appearance was very cute.

production process, etc.
The clay is shaped based on the sketch, then dried a little and shaped several times. It takes about a month to make enough to fill the kiln evenly. The pieces are bisque fired for 7 hours, then removed and wiped with water, glazed one by one, and fired for 12 hours. Some pieces are gold glazed and put back in the kiln for 7 hours. They need to be cooled slowly, so they are waited about 2 days after each firing before being taken out of the kiln. Then, pick up each piece and attach a pin to the good ones. So far, the success rate is about 70%.
It takes a lot of time and effort, but it's worth it as the result is a decorative brooch that combines the texture of the clay, the strength of the pottery, the luster of the glaze, and the sparkle of the gold.
I believe that it is something that can be used for a long time without change.
