"La Verdura", which translates to "Vegetable" in English, is an illustration project by illustrator Tuangpawn Surintha, in which she turned organic shapes of vegetables she found in a Thai grocery store into illustrative objects.
The concept of this project was to transform commonplace objects into visually striking objects. Although the shape was still recognisable, the outline was raised to make it more structural. The choice of a bold colour palette and neat composition creates a different visual language. The full collection contains 9 designs. Additionally, this set of illustrations is also designed to fit in a round coaster, which should be able to light up someone’s dining table.
