Original oil painting on canvas is rich in details and colors. Of all the birds in the world I think chickens are the most overlooked. They are bright, each one quite different from the other, with individual personalities and characteristics. Ever since I moved to a small village in the Carpathians in western Ukraine, everyone seems to have their own hens and roosters roaming freely along the lanes and paths. I wanted to capture the beauty of these birds in a fun, expressive painting.

✔ I do my best to take good photos of my paintings but due to different monitors and devices the colours may vary slightly. Most paintings have much more nuanced colors in person.
