▲喀什米爾靠近喜馬拉雅山，為了對抗特殊的酷寒氣候，水煮羊毛是喀什米爾利用當地自然環境發展出來的一種細緻的工藝， 當地海拔高，水的沸點低，早晨在太陽上升時，將羊毛製品，放入融化的高原雪水中浸泡，之後加熱沸煮。到了傍晚太陽下山時，再把羊毛製品在月光下曬，經由繁複工續後的產品， 不但可以清除掉一些雜質，羊毛產生收縮，纖維之間更加地緊密，最後經由婦女手工編織及刺繡，呈現一件件顏色及繡法獨特的織品

( 因每個人測量方式及位置略有不同尺寸皆為水平手工測量，會因布料彈性、測量起點等因素，與實際尺寸略有誤差，誤差尺寸±3cm為國際驗貨標準可接受範圍 )
▲建議清潔方式
1 - 用膠盆放入適量洗衣粉，以微暖清水調校均勻，把圍巾平放水盆中，雙手張開用力按壓二、三十下，讓洗粉溶液來回穿過圍巾纖維縫隙，這樣纖維才不會互相纏結。
2 - 過水清洗均用同樣手法直至圍巾潔淨。
3 - 將圍巾揉乾。 晾圍巾時，平舖於毛巾或晾衣架，至於陰涼處自然陰乾，因為紫外線會使毛線發黃。
