You can wash it in water. (You cannot put it in the dishwasher, or microwave it.) After washing, leave it to dry in a breezy place with no direct sunlight, then store it.
If the wood has become dry, coat it with oil to restore its beautiful appearance.
Apply a generous coating of sunflower oil or walnut oil with a kitchen towel and let sit for 10 seconds.
Wipe off the excess oil with a new kitchen towel and dry away from direct sunlight.
